The Intensive English Program offers a paper-based TOEFL to IEP students, once in the Fall semester (October), and once in the Spring semester (March). Conditionally admitted students will have the first opportunity to register to take the TOEFL. This TOEFL is only valid for admission to the University of Miami, and no other university.

Undergraduate students applying to the University of Miami using the Common Application will need to select the semester they intend to begin, as they are applying for admission, not conditional admission. If a student is granted conditional admission, then the student’s file will be shared with us here at the IEP. Then, the student can start at the IEP on the next available start date after receiving the UM admission decision.
